The former City Council president said “I learned from being a mom, I learned from owning my small business, I learned from working on the outside of government and I’ve seen what works and what not so much … I found new ways to contribute as a citizen.” “All these experiences, together with my experiences as an elected leader, all uniquely position me to change, transform and lead this city,” Cherryhomes said. Jackie’s vision for Minneapolis is a city that works; if elected mayor of Minneapolis, Cherryhomes said she will make the city’s economy a priority.
