| Lake Street Council The Lake Street Council is the business organization representing the business, industrial, commercial and professional community with businesses and properties located within the greater Lake Street corridor. Our jurisdiction runs from Lake Calhoun on the West to the Mississippi River on the East. Our north side boundary is 26th Street and 32nd Street on the south. Since 1967 the Lake Street Council, in partnership with the 8 major Business Associations (sometimes referred to as nodes) (see links below), has worked to promote, preserve and develop Lake Street into one of the biggest and best commercial corridors within the City of Minneapolis. Results are beginning to be seen. The Lake Street Council strives to keep Lake Street business people informed on all of the many issues and changes currently affecting their businesses or property.
